Rozzie Evening Ride – New trail along Neponset – Tuesday 9/22, 4:45 PM from Adams Park

Specifics about this ride are below the dashed line. But first, some important general information:
Check out linktr.ee/RozzieBikes for links to all our social media, including our email list to get these announcements sent to you directly!

** Note ** Once per year, we are asking you to complete a release before you ride. You can do it on your phone at the ride start, but can save time by following this link: https://tinyurl.com/2026-RozzieBikes-Release-Form

Why are we leading these short evening rides?
– To show that there are low(er) stress routes around the neighborhood and “you CAN get there from here” by bike
– To get to know some neighbors who like to ride
– To learn little about safe and effective cycling and group riding

Please read some Important information about these rides in this document: https://tinyurl.com/RozzieRides-2026

Finally, here’s a link to a consolidated calendar that includes rides and events from RozzieBikes, Parkway Cycling Club and West Rox Bikes plus selected other rides:

==============================
(Alan leading this one!)

We will find our way to the newly opened Edgewater Trail in Mattapan, and, as time and daylight permit, explore more of the space along the Neponset. (Note that this ride does NOT include the regular Neponset Trail). We will ride about 12 miles.

Though the currently-open portion of the Edgewater Trail is paved, some of the “exploration” part is off-road, on dirt or gravel, surfaces. In a couple of places you’ll need to carry your bike up or down stairs, though we can help each other, even with e-bikes.

Afterward, perhaps some beer or food in the Square, if anyone is interested.

As you arrive in Adams Park, if there are people there, please slow down or dismount – let’s not disturb others who are using the park.

The ride will include something similar to the first half of this route, but it is approximate. (If you choose to use this route on your own sometime, be aware that it is a draft, has not been vetted, and the cues were autogenerated and may not be completely reliable.) https://ridewithgps.com/routes/57211830
