Rozzie Weekend Ride – “Marina Bay Plus” – Saturday September 12, 10:00 AM, The Substation

Interested in bike riding in the area, but haven’t been able to make it to the Rozzie evening rides? You’re in luck – RozzieBikes is offering a ride on a Saturday!

Specifics about this ride are below the dashed line. But first, some important general information:

Check out linktr.ee/RozzieBikes for links to all our social media, including our email list to get these announcements sent to you directly!

** Note ** Once per year, we are asking you to complete a release before you ride. You can do it on your phone at the ride start, but can save time by following this link:

Why are we leading these rides?
– To show that there are low(er) stress routes around the neighborhood and “you CAN get there from here” by bike
– To get to know some neighbors who like to ride
– To learn little about safe and effective cycling and group riding

Please read some Important information about these rides in this https://tinyurl.com/RozzieRides

Finally, here’s a link to a consolidated calendar that includes rides and events from RozzieBikes, Parkway Cycling Club and West Rox Bikes plus selected other rides:

===== Specifics about this ride =====

This is a longer ride than the usual evening ride, but goes somewhere that is a little too far for the evening ride format. Plus, we’ve heard from some folks that the evening is a difficult time to get out.

You’ll learn two low(er) stress routes to the Neponset Trail (one on the way there, and a different one on the way back). We’ll explore Pope John Paul II park, and cross over to Quincy, where we’ll visit the former Squantum Airfield, and stop for coffee at the Marina Bay complex.

We’ll meet beside the Substation across from Adams Park, since the Farmers’ Market will be in full swing at the time we leave. (Come early, and shop a little before we leave!)
